But hey guys! Where do I go with my family?

We at Amatuber promote family fun, after all we are proud parents of 2 year old TWINS!, and we still like to float, and enjoy activities that get the kids out of the house.

So to answer you're question .. Anywhere! But if you're concerned about if your kids can handle the environment or river current then we start to get a little picky.

The San Marcos River access points near Fentress, Texas has some great family access to the river, and is typically pretty mellow, and is a kid friendly environment ... But swimming skills should be in place ... and a life jacket is recommended to our younger river rats. The river itself is more mellow and easier to handle for the beginner toober and children. Entry in the Martindale, Texas area starts to attract more collage types.

The Guadalupe is a great river also ... but tends to attract the college crowd which can get rowdy. So use your best judgment, you might avoid holiday weekends. Weekday floats are probably going to be a bit more PG-13 for family activities.

The Comal and Frio are also two great rivers to float with your families but choose your weekends and prepare yourself for the potential of a rowdy group. But, if you encounter one of these groups on any of these rivers most will respect your needs, and you can always paddle ahead, or pull off to the bank, and let them float on.
